BECAUSE THESE MISSIONARIES MADE IT OUT OF HAITIS DEVASTATION...the whole room was shifting and twisting...it sounded like a big truck going by... it got louder and louder and then things started shaking.it was eerie because the earthquake was so loud and as soon as it was done it was total silence for 3 or 4 seconds and then it was just something like out of a movie, just wailing and screaming. WHEN THE GROUND STOPPED SHAKING... NO ONE IN THEIR ORPHANAGE WAS HURT... i feel like i was there to comfort the kids, to tell them they were safe, to be with them... it really brought to live what being a missionary is all about. MORE THAN EVER... we saw burial mounds from people who were burying their loved ones in their front yards. it had been two days and the smell was horrific. people were trying to get away from the city to get somewhere where there wafood and water. the hardest part was just having to leave thkids and come home. BUT THEY MADE IT HOME... HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES... HOME TO THEIR LOVES ONES... HOME TO THEIR CHURCH.
